Bafta Film Awards 2019 has announced nominations with Yorgos Lanthimos's ‘The Favourite’ dominating the race for this year's edition.
Offbeat period drama ‘The Favourite’ starring Olivia Colman, who won a Golden Globe for playing Queen Anne, has scored 12 nods at the 72nd British Academy Film Awards. The film is said to be the one to beat at this year's ceremony.
‘The Favourite’ is some way ahead of its nearest Bafta rivals ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Roma’, ‘A Star is Born’ and ‘First Man’ which have seven nominations each.

The awards ceremony will take place on February 10, 2019 at the Royal Albert Hall, with Joanna Lumley hosting for a second year running.
